When I started my singing career, I was just a skinny, curly haired girl from the mountains outside of Cebu. When I was in high school I was fortunate to be chosen as a member of the group Smokey Mountain and it was through that experience I took my first plane ride and my first international performances.
My advice to you is to keep an open mind, always be professional, and challenge yourself to be better every day.
Performing is a business and is more than just singing into a microphone, it is also a business so make sure you show up on time, smile, and always be prepared. Seek out those who have been there before and ask for their guidance and advice, you don’t have to be alone.
