Olivia (Liv) Warfield (Peoria (Illinois), 10 July 1979) is an American R & Bsinger.
Youth
Warfield comes from a strict religious family where music had no place. Her father was dean of the Church in the Pentecostal Church, where they came in contact with gospel music . Liv turned out to be a gifted athlete at an early age. She was a good athlete and gymnast. Her times in the 100 and 200 meter sprint, on the Peoria Notre Dame school, in 1996, his 12 years later still the fastest[1]. They got a Track and Field Athletics scholarship, for which they go to the Portland State University in Portland (Oregon) moved. There she began to sing karaoke in her spare time.
Musical career
Her first appearances were as a singer in 2002 in Portland, in the hip-hop group Money ‘ n Lovin. After this, she performed in a soul/jazz group with keyboardist Joey Porter. A year later she started her own group Liv & The Warfield Project. Even then she sings mainly jazzand soul music . Her first album, Embrace Me , she released at B & M Records in 2006. Unlike many R & B artists, does not make them use a lot of music programming or Auto-Tune. The cd contains strong jazz with funk and soul music influences.

Liv Warfield is family of the American comedian Richard Pryor.
