Groove Pill Records is Australia’s hottest independent record label founded by Jason Coleman, (director, event producer, choreographer and well known Australian celebrity) in 2011, aiming to develop a new platform for undiscovered Australian recording artists.
He has since, collected a team of highly qualified staff, formed a major PR campaign, signed a distribution deal with Shock Records and produced multiple big budget video clips with some of the most enormous production elements ever seen on TV. The work Groove Pill Records is currently producing is unique, credible, expensive and world class.
“No one else is doing what Groove Pill is doing in Australia,” says Jason. “Others have tried, but we do it on a larger scale. The whole idea is to make music that fans want to hear. We have strong ideas about the sound and look of the label. No expense has been spared. We are producing the best video clips in the country”.

Jason Coleman and Peter Harrington-Olsen (lead singer of Melbourne’s ‘Dirty Laundry’) are the two masterminds behind “The Collective Sound”. The Collective Sound are essentially signed to the label and act as Groove Pill Record’s in-house music producers. So far this year, they have collaborated with some of Australia’s hottest DJs to create fun, high-energy pop tracks that gradually taking on the commercial music scene, throughout Australia, the UK and the world.
“Save The World” by The Collective Sound, featuring 9 Lives, was the first track released by Groove Pill Records earlier this year. The ‘9 Lives’ are a collection of Australia’s hottest talent handpicked by Jason and his production house. These triple threat, multi talented, sassy, glamorous, fashionistas are some of the most sought after entertainers in Australia.
“Let The Horns Blow” is the second phenomenal track to be released from Groove Pill Records. Jason decided to push things even further than he did for “Save The World”. Produced by the MOD Production House, the clip for “Let The Horns Blow” features The Collective Sound’s front man Peter Harrington-Olsen, 230 dancers, 230 individual costumes, and a massive 15 metre high set. This huge undertaking was shot in the space of a day and features some of Australia’s hottest talent. The result is a vibrant, in your face video clip that demands your attention, and within 24 hours of online release, the YouTube views went through the roof. The Groove Pill Records team is ecstatic to collaborate with the remix powerhouses that are the Buzz Junkies and Matt Waterhouse. “Let the Horns Blow” will take the UK club and commercial music scene shortly and will soon be available for purchase on iTunes.
