At the centre of this environment is a 64 channel SSL 4000 G+ series console with ‘Ultimation’. This five-meter console is renowned for shaping the worlds biggest sounds.
The console is surrounded by an enormous array of vintage and modern analogue outboard gear, with recording options including 24 track analogue tape, 48 channel Radar, and Protools HD3. The conversion is on the Lynx, RADAR and Apogee converters all clocked from Antelope clock. The studios’ monitoring allows for five point one as well as stereo mixing on some of the worlds best monitors.
Designed on advice from the worlds best acousticians Studio A provides the ultimate environment for recording ensembles of up to fifty musicians and the best drum and acoustic sounds in the country. The room features a 100-year-old 9 foot Bechstein grand piano, made to order of the German Kaiser and restored to original condition, and two isolated booths to allow for separation of instruments.
