Her name meaning “God is Gracious”. Ciana Kamalu o‘nalani Pelekai was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Ciana’s ethnicity consist of Hawaiian, Filipino, German and Irish.
Her passion and love is singing. She has been singing since she was four years old and loves to perform. Ciana started taking vocal lessons at 7 yrs old. Ciana has won several singing competitions in Hawaii, which include Hawaii Stars, Al Waterson and You singing competition and Brown bags to stardom. In 2009, Ciana had the chance to perform on a nationally televised show, NBC’s America’s Got Talent, where she sang her heart out with the version of Etta James’ “At Last.” In 2010, Ciana was selected as one of Maury’s most talented kids and appeared on the “Maury” talk show where once again, she was able to showcase her talent. She has also had the opportunity to sing the national anthem in the infamous Staples Arena for a Clippers NBA game. More recently, Ciana was the winner for Hawaii’s Spotlight vocal competition.
Ciana has also been blessed to be able to sing with Jazz artist Michael Paulo. She was one of the top 10 finalists across the United States at the All Star Planet Gala in Hollywood, CA.
In addition to performing, Ciana loves to give back to the community by singing at local charity events. To name a few, Ciana has performed for the National Kidney Foundation , Adult Friends for Youth Tour, Henry Weinberg Foundation Concert, American Heart Association and other non profit organizations here in Hawaii.
Besides singing, Ciana loves acting, musical theater and bowling. She also enjoys just being a kid, riding her bike, going to the beach and hanging out with with friends.
